Overview

Bonny Haynes has been licensed for over 28 years and has focused her law practice in family law for the past 15 years after gaining extensive knowledge and experience as a trial attorney in mass tort litigation, insurance defense, probate and guardianship. She has dedicated a significant part of her practice representing both parents and children in CPS cases involving sexual abuse, physical abuse and neglect, abandonment and drug issues as well as representing grandparents and other relatives as intervenors. Bonny is uniquely qualified to handle the most challenging child custody disputes, child support and possession issues as well as very complex property and business asset divisions that arise in divorces and modifications. Bonny is empathetic, yet aggressive and creative, in obtaining the best possible outcomes for her clients during an extremely difficult time in their lives. Bonny was admitted to the State Bar of Texas to practice before all Texas State Courts in 1995.

She is a member of the Texas Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section, Child-Welfare Section, Women Lawyers section, Probate Section (REPTL), and the Texas Association of Family Defense Attorneys. She continues to maintain her Guardianship Ad Litem Certification. Bonny currently serves on the Executive Board of Directors of the Denton County Bar Association and is the chairperson of the Women Lawyers Section and serves on the Communications Committee.

As a life-long advocate of public service and giving back to her community, Bonny served two terms as a board member for Tarrant County Child Protective Services. She served on the Argyle Town Council from 2004-2013 and was elected by the council to serve as Mayor Pro-Tem from 2009-2013. She has volunteered for many causes benefitting worthy organizations including but not limited to the Denton County Bar Foundation, Denton County Friends of the Family, National Charity League, Community Partners of Tarrant County, Partners Together for Health, White’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Keep Argyle Beautiful, Keep Texas Beautiful, Argyle Education Foundation and the Argyle Parks & Arts Board.
